MEET OUR PARTNERS AND ATTORNEYS
Lauren Brooke is a partner at Brooke & Mills. A graduate of UMASS Amherst and the University of Dayton School of Law, she practices primarily in the areas of Family and Criminal Law. In her spare time, she is either watching one of her favorite sports teams (the New York Yankees, the New York Giants, or the Ohio State Buckeyes) or hanging out with her two dogs who are her world. Lauren also does a lot of volunteer work and sits on many boards, including the Madison County Bar Association as Vice President. Lauren is fair but tough in the courtroom – you can take the girl out of New Jersey, but you can’t take the New Jersey out of the girl!
Rhey Mills is a partner at Brooke & Mills. Born and raised in western Kentucky, he is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. Rhey is an aggressive litigator with over 18 years of experience representing clients primarily in civil, criminal, and appellate matters and in both state and federal courts. Rhey is known for creating innovative legal solutions and delivering exceptional client service. He volunteers his time as a mediator in the small claims division for the Fayette District Court, Division 5. When he is not in the courtroom, you will find him spending time with his family. He loves his baseball, bourbon, and God. You will find Mr. Mills to be brilliant and dedicated to his clients. He is a person of deep faith and morals; you can trust him to do right by you. But, do not let his kindness trick you, he knows if and when to turn it off and fight like hell for you!
MEET OUR TEAM
Kristin Hall, a native Californian, is our senior paralegal. The mom of four children and a proud Navy spouse, Kristin has extensive experience working as a paralegal. She handles everything from misdemeanor criminal cases to complex felonies. We would say she likes to do things in her spare time, but with four kids she doesn’t really have any of that! However, if she does get a minute to herself she enjoys scary movies and date nights with her husband, as well as hanging out with her dog Oliver.
Katie Coluccio comes to Kentucky by way of Charleston, South Carolina. An avid baker and mom of two amazing kids and two also amazing dogs, Katie has experience in office administration and customer service. She will always be at the front desk to greet you with a smile or help you with any problem you may have. Katie also bakes the best cookies in Kentucky and in her spare time she likes spending time with her family, hiking, and shopping at any farmers market she can find!
Rugby Cole Brooke, our Chief Financial Officer, comes to us by way of Perth, Australia. After a long trip here, he is finally settled into the Bluegrass State. He enjoys chewing on chairs, Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, cuddling with his mom, and playing tug-of-war with his girlfriend Luna. He is a tough but fair Furnancial Officer and we are so glad to have him!
Winfield Franklin (Frankie) Brooke is our Chief Energy Officer. He loves to chew on everything, whether it is edible or not. He also loves playing with his brother, licking people’s feet (strangers included), and sprinting across the yard until he falls asleep. He brings a lot of big puppy energy to Brooke & Mills!
